Short: Amiga Descent v 0.5a (New: Assembler optimized tmapper)
Author: Parallax Software, Port by Thomas & Hans-Jörg Frieden
Uploader: tfrieden@uni-trier.de (Thomas Frieden)
Type: game/shoot
Replaces: ADescent-0.4.lha

=======================
Currently requires:
o Either a graphics card or AGA. With a graphics card, you need to have
CyberGraphX or a compatible system installed. Reports confirm that it
also works with Picasso96.
o A commercial Descent I HOG and PIG file, at least version 1.5. Must be
the PC version. If you have a MAC version, try the '-nosongs' switch.
o A fast processor. A o4o or o6o is recommended. There's nothing stopping
you from trying it on a o3o, but it will be slow. A o2o is required.
o AHI V4 must be installed.
o ixemul.library 47.2 (Available on ftp.ninemoons.com, or our website)
o Kickstart 3.0 or better.
o About 10 MB of memory. Dunno if it works with VMM, I didn't bother to try.
It will obviously be slow if it does.

===============
o Supports variable graphic modes (start with '-smr' to get a screenmode
requester). Includes AGA and GfxCards.
o Supports Digital Sound Effects, in Stereo. No Music so far, I have problems
finding a description of the HMP/HMQ format.
o Analog Joystick support. Includes support for four-button analog sticks as
well as CH Flightstick or compatible. In Flightstick mode, supports all
four buttons and the "hat", but no thrust lever.
o Mouse Support.
o Amiga-ized keyboard. Knows Amiga keys.
o IBM PC PAUSE key mapped to HELP
o Still has the debug keys in it (look into the spoilers section if you want
to know)
o Automapper *should* work now. The only thing left to do is to keep
the background clean (try, and you will eventually see)
o Much faster now because of assembly texture mapping
o FPU support (recommended for o6o only)
o Workbench startup and icon tooltypes
o ViRGE support (currently only available on our webpage)
